🎶 About the Festival

AFROPUNK began in Brooklyn and grew into a global platform for Black creativity, identity, and expression. Its Brazilian edition arrived in 2021 and found a natural home in Salvador.

In 2026, the festival returns to Parque de Exposições for its sixth vibrant edition. The spacious festival grounds will once again welcome music lovers from Brazil and beyond.

Music sits at the heart of the experience. Across the weekend, the programme connects R&B, soul, rap, MPB, electronic experimentation, technobrega, and Bahia’s unmistakable pagodão rhythms.

Meanwhile, established icons share the spotlight with a fearless new generation. International voices meet artists from across Brazil, creating exciting connections without genre boundaries.

However, AFROPUNK Brasil reaches far beyond the concert stages. Bold fashion becomes a statement, while art and visual expression fill the festival grounds. In addition, local gastronomy brings the distinctive flavours of Bahia into the experience.

Moreover, the crowd plays an essential role in the festival’s atmosphere. Individuality, pride, resistance, and creativity appear everywhere, from striking outfits to spontaneous moments of connection.
