Discover the Essence: What the Festival is All About
Cheers to a decade of dancing! Colombia’s biggest electronic music festival turns 10—and the celebration is just getting started! In the first place, what began with the legendary Baum Club, a temple for underground electronic music, quickly turned into Colombia’s biggest rave revolution. Driven by a passion to elevate Colombia’s electronic music culture, the organizers set out to create a space where local talent could shine alongside global icons. Not only has this fostered community, but also it has elevated the festival to international acclaim. As a matter of fact, the result is a massive celebration of beats and community that’s now recognized as one of Latin America’s leading techno and electronic music festivals.
🌱 Where It All Began: The Roots of Baum Festival
Baum Festival made its debut in 2015 in Bogotá, Colombia. In the first place, it came from the creative minds behind the legendary Baum Club—a cornerstone of Colombia’s underground electronic scene. The name “Baum” means “tree” in German. Not only does it nod to Berlin’s deep techno roots, but also symbolizes growth, connection, and staying grounded. Like a tree, the festival branched out from its underground origins. Moreover, it has become a thriving, living force in the global music world.
Now, it’s a must-hit on the international festival map. Baum is where Colombia dances loud, proud, and together. From dusty warehouse nights to massive stages, it’s been ten years of bass, sweat, and pure magic.
🎵 Sounds That Move the Masses
Get ready for a wild stage takeover bursting with bass music, hardstyle, hardcore, acid, and pounding hard techno. Ghetto vibes, fierce vocals, and face-melting drops collide with house, progressive, tech, and deep house for an electrifying ride.
🌎 A Sonic Journey Through Cities That Shaped Electronic Music
From the machine soul of Detroit to the raw house grooves of Chicago, the experimental pulses of Frankfurt and Berlin, the rave explosions of London and New York, the futuristic vibes of Tokyo, straight to the rising power of Bogotá—these cities aren’t just places on a map. They’re living, breathing organisms that pulse with sound, host iconic scenes, and forge legends.
From the streets of Chicago to the heart of Baum Festival at Bogotá, Green Velvet lands with an explosive dose of acidic house madness. Get ready for deep, twisted basslines, wildly eccentric vocals, and a groove so infectious it’ll take over your body!
Chris Liebing brings to Bogotá the relentless energy of Frankfurt’s industrial roots, distilled into dark, precise, and ever-evolving techno. With CLR as his sonic lab, he’ll unleash a sound both raw and refined—crafted for deep floors and true believers.
It’s no coincidence the festival has a German name—its roots run deep in Berlin techno and the iconic Berghain spirit. Len Faki, Marcel Dettmann, and Ben Klock embody that essence. Dettmann and Klock with their sharp, hypnotic rhythms, and Len Faki with unmatched intensity and endless energy.
At the forefront stands DJ Nobu, the architect of its underground sound. His deep, textured techno has hypnotized clubs around the world, channeling Tokyo’s raw energy into dense, emotional, and immersive journeys that leave no soul untouched.

Bogotá will always remember when the machines first roared louder than words.
