About the Festival

Thunderdome is a legendary hardcore concept known for its series of parties and CD albums. The first party took place in 1992. Although December 2012 was announced as the end of Thunderdome, the event returned in 2017 for its 25th anniversary. The 2019 edition broke all records, becoming Europe’s biggest indoor dance event with 50,000 visitors. In 2022, Thunderdome celebrated 30 years of hardcore.

This year, prepare for the ultimate throwback as Thunderdome makes its triumphant return to Belgium’s sacred hardcore grounds! The Thunderdome will ignite the stage once again at Sportpaleis Antwerp on December 13th and 14th for two events – Omega & Alpha.

Friday – Omega
On Friday, Thunderdome will transport you back to the golden years of hardcore. Feel the authentic early hardcore sound and relive the magic of the event from 1998. This night will immerse you in Early Hardcore & Millennium, filling the Dome with the raw energy that defined an era.

Saturday – Alpha
Saturday will celebrate the diverse and dynamic future of hardcore. Returning to this legendary location after 26 years, the night will feature a variety of hardcore styles, including Mainstream Hardcore, Industrial, and Uptempo. This is a night to embrace the evolution of hardcore and propel into its future.

Thunderdome remains a fortress of hardcore, stronger than ever. When people think of Hardcore, they think of Thunderdome. It burns in the hearts of many, it is on the skin of thousands, and it’s the diehard community behind the music that will keep it alive forever. Hardcore will never die!
