🎶 About the Festival
MADE Festival launched in the summer of 2014 and quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the UK’s independent festival scene. Year after year, it grew in both scale and ambition. As a result, it became widely recognised as the West Midlands’ biggest and most influential music and arts festival.
At its core, MADE Festival is about energy and diversity. Its lineups span house, drum and bass, grime, garage, and bass-driven electronic music. However, the experience extends far beyond the dancefloor. The event has always celebrated Birmingham’s creative spirit by showcasing local artists, street food vendors, and cutting-edge cultural projects.
In 2024, MADE Festival marked a major milestone by celebrating its 10th anniversary. The edition featured nearly 200 artists performing across 10 uniquely designed stages. Genres flowed effortlessly from stage to stage, while local talent and home-grown brands stood proudly alongside international names. Consequently, the festival became one of the most talked-about highlights of the summer.
Following this success, 2025 was set to continue the momentum with a series of festival-style summer day parties in Digbeth. Unfortunately, these events were ultimately cancelled, leaving a noticeable gap in the city’s summer calendar.
Even so, MADE Festival’s legacy remains strong. Its impact on Birmingham’s music and creative scenes is undeniable, and its community is still very much alive. Hopefully, this is only a pause rather than an ending, and we can look forward to MADE Festival returning soon – bigger, bolder, and louder than ever.
