DGTL Amsterdam 2026: Recap and Highlights
All the Easter eggs were found!
On Friday night, American DJ Armand Van Helden delivered a high-energy performance that immediately energized the festival crowd.
Meanwhile, Saturday evening brought even more excitement. The German duo DJ Heartstring closed the Modular stage in style with an energetic set. At the same time, British DJ Interplanetary Criminal delivered pounding bass on the Current stage. Additionally, at AMP, under the beloved LED ring, CamelPhat took over the stage at 9 PM. They are known for their breakthrough track “Cola”. The single peaked at No. 3 on the UK Dance Chart in 2017.
As the weekend continued, Sunday drew waves of festival-goers to the groove-filled set of local DJ Luuk Van Dijk. Soon after, NOVAH took over the Generator decks with hard dance beats that captivated the crowd. Following her, crowd favorite I Hate Models delivered one of the most unforgettable sets of the entire festival.
Moreover, the DGTL Academy art installation attracted significant attention. Over several months, six talented women created a 160 m² audiovisual composition.
This was only a glimpse of the incredible talent showcased throughout the weekend. Many more outstanding artists contributed to the festival’s success.

What kind of music to expect at DGTL Amsterdam?
The music at DGTL Amsterdam is diverse electronic music, clearly different from mainstream EDM festivals.
Main genres include:
- Techno: deep, minimal, and industrial styles
- House: from deep to melodic
- Experimental electronic music
- Genre-blending crossover acts
Typically, DJs perform on a stage with mixers, synthesizers, and controllers, speakers directed at the audience.
However, DGTL Amsterdam is different, offering 3D and 4D sound, blurring the boundary between stage and crowd. This setup makes the audience part of the performance, rather than just passive observers.
Moreover, DGTL stands for “digital,” signaling a futuristic, predominantly technology-driven festival experience. Interactive installations and kinetic elements are designed as an integral part of the experience, not just decoration. Overall, expect a full sensory experience, with atmospheric daytime sets and peak-time energy at night.kra

Additionally, visitors can choose to offset their carbon footprint with donations for reforestation. International visitors typically have a higher travel footprint, while local visitors have a smaller impact.
